Do I need to get the power brake booster out of the way to remove the engine?
Thanks. |

Thanks. Looked close and I'd rather not deal with it.

Re: Quick engine removal question
I was able to pull an BIG olds motor out of mine, by myself, without removing anything but the bolts. I was lucky and had a good hoist which helped. I have done this in the past with the tranny attached.
In the past, with a barely adequate hoist, I have had to take the front tires off becuase the oil pan wouldn't clear. I f you need to do this, after lifting the engine load off, put a floor jack under the crossmember and lif the tires off and unbolt. Then settle it on the lowest jackstands you have.... GO SLOW. Take your time. Good luck buddy

Re: Quick engine removal question
Only thing I recommend besides making sure everything is unhooked (don't ask me.. ) is to remove the radiator. It's fairly easy to remove and no need to take a chance in damaging it.

Re: Quick engine removal question
A good tilting engine lift attachment would really help, too. Especially if you are pulling engine/trans as one unit. They are pretty cheap, too... under $50 for a decent one.
