72 Burb Turn signal cam help...question.

Need the groups help! I have a 72 Burb, I inadvertently broke the turn signal cam when I was turned the steering wheel pretty hard (no power steering), anyway I removed the old cam and threw it away because I had ordered a new one. Installed the new one but now turn signals will not work...am I missing something? It almost appears there should be some sort of contacts under the cam to make the turn signals turn on or off. I took some photos of what I am dealing with and tried to upload them but am having trouble. Does anyone have detailed photos they could share? Please any help would be appreciated! By the way....Burbs rock!

I've always just replaced the entire switch.

Yes, I'd say some contacts are missing. I don't know what they look like

Welcome to the best site I have ever found!
You are missing the electrical contacts and springs.
This is why I never throw anything away.
Drives my girl crazy but saves gas money...

You have to re-use the springs and contacts from the old one, maybe someone on the board will have some laying around if not you should be able to find some in the junkyard.
