Post Whats to factory HP and TQ ratings were for a 350 in a 1974 GMC?

I wanted to find out what the factory horsepower and Torque ratings were for a 1974 GMC with a 4 bolt main 350 with a Q-Jet? The truck is a heavy 1/2 (3/4 ton springs) that was ordered with trailer breaks and a heavy duty rear bumper. It has all been gone through and can really get that truck moving.

Thanks,
Erik

Net Horsepower: 160@3800rpm
net Torque" 255@2400 rpm.the brake or gross horsepower is still 245 and the torque is about 350 in gross terms, there is a lot of difference but with the factory settings on everything on the truck the net is more real world.

Are the numbers you gave me supposed to be for a rig with cats? I was thinking that the factory HP numbers were around 180-190 without cats.

Thanks,
Erik

No I gave you the factory rating, its just that the net rating system takes into affect all the garbage on the motor plus a full exhaust, crappy timing curve and what not, plus the gross rating is at a higher rpm. They are not the greatest stock but with a little work a just as good as the older engines.
