Seat question Seats dont match my 88 Suburban

I just picked up a 88 Suburban and the front buckets dont seem right. They seem low and dont match the holes in the floor right. Heres a couple pics.

I also found a set out of a 90 Suburban. Would they fit?

They look like burb buckets. I need a set just like those for mine. Not sure why they are using a different bolt hole, unless they were swapped in by the PO in place of an old bench seat. I know the bench seats bolted in differently than the buckets.

I looked up all the RPO codes today and it says its a factory bucket. The buckets do look like they match. But the mount and floor dont.

they may have replaced the adjusters only. i know the sliders in a truck bucket seat will bolt up to my factory seat and give me about 2 inches more headroom in my blazer. this is for certain year models only, individual results may vary.

yeah maybe truck brackets? they do look low in the back and the single cabs have the gas tank hump to bolt to.

they look right to me
these are factory for 89 burb brakets and seats(changing to 78 jimmy
looks like you have a factory hole
if so on the front you will have a bracket welded in for the inside support
the frames are 16 inches wide the factory hold have moulded in nuts
(not the drilled ones for the jimmy sliders)

i'd see if the seats are on the tracks right
the factory bench used the outside holes only, same idea in some gm cars

Re: Seat question Seats dont match my 88 Suburban

I have a spare set of mint seats out of an '88 full size van, they look just like those, they just bolt to a really tall box type mount (so to speak). The holes dont come close to matching my Suburban, (too narrow if I remember correctly) but I didn't get them for the mounts so I wasn't concerned.

...just sayin

Re: Seat question Seats dont match my 88 Suburban

that might be the problem
they look right but don't measure up to 16 inches wide

Re: Seat question Seats dont match my 88 Suburban

When the seats were in the Burban they seemed to low. I put in a set of seats out of a 1990 Burban and they fit perfect. The mounting holes center to center on the old seats is around 9-5/8" and center to center for the mounting holes on the Burban and the 1990 seats is around 10-5/8 so the old seats are about an inch off. I added the pics. Im gonna give these old seats away free if someone wants them.

They do look to mount the same, just an inch off thats all. And the tracks dont look bent either.

Re: Seat question Seats dont match my 88 Suburban

Not saying that's what it is, but the van mounts are super low!! They're not even close to me or I would take a pic and a measurement.

9 1/2 - 10 1/2 sounds kinda familiar...

*edit -Your sliders look offset, so nevermind, the van ones are perfectly flat. So much for thoughts at 4:50am! duh...

back a bit where my sliders are spray painted, are the right ones from 89 and the seats too

It is weird. It all looks likt it matches and is the same. But it just isnt. Its 1 inch shorter. They have to be for a pickup or something.
