a friend just picked up an 87 blazer 4x4 with a front bench instead of buckets. i personally have never seen a K5 with a front bench seat, did chevrolet/GMC make such a truck or did a p.o. add it? sorry i don't have any pics. i'm just curious if the factory ever produced a front bench in a blazer. my dad seems to recall an old 88 forestry blazer with a front bench but i didn't see that one.

I know for sure that Forestry Service had them with front bench seats. The PO of the 82 Blazer I once owned told me he ordered one and it came with a bench seat. He didn't like it so he swapped for another unit with buckets.

Pretty uncommon, but it appears to have been an option.

I never knew that, also never seen one. Was it a flip forward like a pickup, or fixed like a Burb, any pics?

it flips forward so passengers can access the rear seat. still no camera-yet. it's up and running but i need to put over 800 pics on a disc so i can save them then delete them from my camera-probably easier to get a new memory stick,lol.

I have never heard of that but that sounds AWESOME!!! I would like to see pictures if anyone has ever seen one of these things. TRUCKS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
