Re: 72 gmc jimmy rewiring

Day 2 pulled the looks like a rat's nest out of the engine compartment. What a mess, had 1 wire melted to the plastic rail along the firewall.

Re: 72 gmc jimmy rewiring

Cut the firewall hole larger to accept the new fuse panel. Test fit new panel

Re: 72 gmc jimmy rewiring

Be sure not to lose any pieces as they do not send any extra. Customer service sucks!!! Really great kit other than that.

[QUOTE= Customer service sucks!

I am compelled to say that I had exactly the opposite experience.

Re: 72 gmc jimmy rewiring

Day 3 and 4 finished rewiring under the dash put in a new dash pad and a new dash gauge bezel. Now it's time for the engine compartment.

Re: 72 gmc jimmy rewiring

I also took out the wiper motor and pump. The pump had stopped working quite a while ago so i purchased a new pump. When I removed the pump from the motor I found the old pump was froze and the gear that works it stripped out. Luckily I had a extra cab out back and got the gear out of that one.
