Welcome to the board and Josh will appreciate your thanks. Part of the way we keep the deals here from going south is by following the rules, which are covered in threads listed at the top of each forum. That includes for sale and wanted to buy posts being limited to the classified forums. In the classifieds only subscribers can start threads. Anyone can respond. Subscribing helps pay the bills and gives us methods for dealing with the less than honest buyers and sellers.

Also, when responding to a post, please stay within the subject of that thread. Since this thread is about a good-for-nothing in Texas, your post would have best been placed in the Welcome Area.

Thanks for coming aboard.

Fred

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

That is so funny! I bought parts from him two years ago, WAY before I really used this site. After buying about $4000 from him, he ripped me off on $250 worth of wheel wells (2). Even told my lawyer he sent them but wouldn't give a tracking number, though he said he had proof!! Then he tried to SELL ME HIS BUSINESS FOR $10,000!!! Said he made more money making and selling trailers! His wife works for the city so the law enforcement in the small town of Loan Oak is on their side. I plan on getting information on a class action lawsuit. If you are interested, and have documentation showing he ripped you off, let me know!! I know if we won in court he'd file bankruptcy, which is fine by me! Too bad I'm a Marine stationed on the East Coast, otherwise I'd pay a visit to his home...

I live about 20 minutes from James and yes he is well known for being a crook, and yes his wife is the Mayor of Lone Oak Texas. Not only does he steal on the internet he was scamming people in a body shop/ 67-72 truck restoration shop where about a 1 1/2 ago he took a friend of mine to the cleaners on a 72 k5 and he still hasn't received all his parts, as well as the k5 not being finished. James tried to sell his k5 as he would other clients trucks
if they didn't give him more money to finish the project. He lives in a broken down double wide and doesn't have a job good i hope you manage to squeeze
blood from a turnip this is a real scum bag and need a really big head stompin.
It truly embarresses me he is from texas. He owes just about everybody in the area with old trucks money or parts.

Some of this guys are also doing same stuff on a popular VW Site, Im into the VW scene too, and I was about to sent some money to a town named Lone Oak in TX but the guy never sent pics of the items and he changed his name twice JAMES and Richard was the same guy.
2 weeks after on the same vw site a guy was looking for the same guy from Lone Oak TX for $1,000 transaction !!!
I know some times is hard for us to find parts locally, but I have decide not to buy any parts within a 400 Miles radius from my area.
for $400 I'll go on a 400 Mile drive to KICK $OME1s A$$ the $h!+ out of them !

I used to play football against Lone Oak in highschool. It just makes plain since. I hope all you guys aren't afraid to buy from us Texas guys, because most of us are good guys. Hell I've sold one guy parts that I could have easly got $100 more for.

Re: ATTENTION: In regards to James Blanton aka "tex parts 67-72" and Partner.

HOLY COW. I just clicked on this sticky for grins. I KNOW THIS GUY. I am from Lone Oak. I sold him a ton of parts, and he sold me a lot.

MANY MANY MANY MANY times I have looked back on my build (I started at 17 in 2002, and just now got back to it), and thought man that dude ripped me a new one and I didn't even know it. I looked at old reciepts and what not between he and I and I got RAKED over the coals and had no idea.

To be naive and 17, my my.

Homeboy at one point had pristine, and I mean pristine near show quality original green Cheyenne full interior that he gave me $150 IRC. Plus the full set of trim from the oustide and tons of other parts that I now know are much more valuable and I wish I still had.

In turn I got a bed that I paid $350 for (along with some items traded, was supposed to be a $500 transaction). I got it home and started messing with it to find it COVERED in bondo, like inches thick that he had slapped on and sprayed over. I just didn't know any better at the time.

He also sold me a front clip that was a piece of ****. What a jackass. I'm going home in a few weeks, I have half a mind to go take a dump on his front porch.

Huge thanks to the admins for keeping him offsite here. I have seen a bunch of his chrome, and it is ****. Pure ****.

Thanks admin, for trying to keep this forum clean. This crap makes me so mad. Grapevine says he's living with his mother in Brownwood now. Which sucks cause that makes it so you have to be leery of the whole Dallas/Fort Worth area, which truly is a shame. And yes Lisa Willis is his,(whatever you would like to call her.) who is also the Mayor of Lone Oak, yes you heard right, and she has almost single handedly crushed that town. One of a kind people I'll tell ya, and the kind that have no business even being Americans.

Correction, she used to be mayor, she's still manager though. Hopefully they'll be able to turn that town around. I'm praying for the citizens of Lone Oak.

Mike, what are your ties to the area? You seem to know more than the average joe buying on the forum (I grew up in LO, got out ASAP).

I just keep my ears to the ground, specially with something comes up like this. I still have a lot of family all over the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Just wanted to make people aware that if stuff starts coming out of Brownwood, be very cautious.

Hey Josh,
Excellent job on catching this crook. To all the other guys, if you can show that he stole any of value from anyone, charges can be pressed on him for using the internet as a means of the theft. I have filed many chatges on subjects using the internet for scams.

I say contact the police agency where you live and file a report and then the agency where he lives and forward the case number you got to them. Let put heat on him. I had sold and bought item and all dealing were great, even met a guy at the TX/La border for a deal.

Stay safe and keep the crook off this site.

Unfortunately I have been gone a while and happen to see this about a guy from Texas. Rest assured not all us Texas folks are slimy like this James character. Any way great to be back and good to see some great builds going on.

I bought several parts from him when he was selling on eBay back in '07. I was one of the lucky ones, but not without headaches.

Welcome back, Carlos!
