Best Truck @ Show IMHO!

It wasn't even entered! Saw it in the parking lot and I'm usually not a big fan of 20's but this won me over. How do you eliminate the jaggies when sizing down to post?

I went back to check it out and he had left. I wanted more pics of the interior and underside. Here is shot of the wheel. I guess I know where to find him since he is local and had the paint shop name in the window...he needs to come of here and share his thoughts.

This truck was in Truckn mag. Mar. 1998. I still have this mag. and it is one awsome truck. It runs a complete thunder bird rear. I know this has to be the same truck I have drooled on that magizine for 4-5 years . It runs a 500 HP 402 BB it looks stock and very very clean. does the truck have a small 3rd brake light under the back window? If you can get any more pic please post them pleeeeaaaase.

Those are some sweet wheels. I hope he was just letting the guys inside think that they had a chance before he pulled the first place truck inside. LOL...............JB

WHYBYNU...Yes it did have the little sliver of a third brake light under the window. My son pointed it out to me...it was too cool! It really did stand out. I must admit that his has seen some wear since it was a magazine truck but not much. The trim showed signs of the black paint chipping in some places the paint is still "show quality". I don't know why it was not inside unless he has shown it so much it has worn out its welcome...hard to imagine. I will chase him down...he is not far from here and take some more pictures.

Wait until next week...I will have pictures of my favorite '67 that just got a new motor...690 hp and 700 ft-lb of torque...you just won't believe this one!

Well...they should be back in a couple of days but gosh...I might have to work or something. Wife keeps reminding me that the house is not going to paint itself...LMAO! Why won't it? I guess it really doesn't want to get painted that badly, then...it ought to show a little initiative!

That truck is very awsome. I saw truck and met owner in 1998 just before 2 magazine articles. He drove it from WA state to Paso Robles GM truck show in March 1998 (something like 1100 miles). He had his wife believe in using truck. I do remember him talking about owning a body shop and that he sprayed it with a modern pair of paint colors. On the hood he said he cut the front and layed it back to add the 68 hood look (wouldn't those be a nice reproduction item!!) He had 20" on it beofre most. The rear suspension was very trick. I also think he bragged about the gas mileage in with 402. We do need to get this guy on the board for advise and praise. I've always hoped he would stumble on to us.

I will have to dig out photos from that car show.

Now I will go out to see him for sure. My son is carrying around a picture of that truck. I wondered what happened with that hood...thanks for clearing that up. I was just about to go back and look to see if I had missed something with the '69-'70 hoods...LOL! I will make sure he knows about the board and how to find us.
