Need help finding a thread

So just spent the last hour hunting for a thread I read within the last week or so. Thread followed a guy building a original very stock patina C10 but he had put a 5.3 in it. Yeah yeah there are a bunch of those but this truck was soooo original looking, no drop, no exterior upgrades, you would never know the late model motor/trans were transplantes into it. On specific thing he did change was he upgraded the speedo with a S10 circuitry so it would go to a higher speed. But ofcourse when he was done the ckuster looked stock.
Thanks for helping me find this thread.

Re: Need help finding a thread

Do you remember what year it was? Most folks post the YOM in their title thread. Example 1971 or maybe just 71. Then you can search forum titles and weed out all the other years. A search of "5.3" will bring a lot of results.

Re: Need help finding a thread

tutone - Unfortunetly I don't remember what year it was. That would be very helpful thought.

Lockdoc - Thanks for the link. That isn't the tread I was looking for but still may be very helpful in answer some of my question.

One other thing I remember from the tread is this wasn't his only C10 he owned but was the only one he didn't "go overboard" when building it. Purposely wanted a sleeper shop truck for going and getting parts etc. I think buy the end of the thread updates he had like 20-30Kmi on the built truck already.
