Birthday roller rockers installed

I started pulling the valve covers at 8:02 PM and was finished installing the new rockers at 9:12 PM. Competition cams chrome moly 1.6:1 pro magnum roller rockers. Gave me a good bit more lift and a lot less valvetrain friction.

Happy birthday to me. My birthday roller rockers present to myself are now installed ! I Took it out for a drive but its hard to get a feel for the road when its wet. This is the seattle area in the winter you know. The tires broke loose at 50 mph ....duh ...

I didnt use new springs.My heads are world product SR torquers and they came with new z 28 style springs, guide plates and screw in studs. The sprins in them are good for .550 lift.

Did you inlarge the push rod holes? I read an article/post that said wrld heads had to have this done or the rods would bind. If you want, I can try to find the article/post.

Its the newer World Product heads that need to have the pushrod slot enlarged. Mine are an older '94 produced set that had been in storage until I installed them this year. The newer ones have the bosses cast in for centerbolt valve covers in addition to the perimeter bolt holes and have the pushrod slots machined in. The newer ones also do not come with guide plates although they do have screw in studs. I didnt have any interference problems and used the same standard length hardened pushrods I had been using previously . Preliminary reports are that I have a good bit more seat of the pants power. 10-15 HP maybe.

aren't those rockers supposed to have a girdle across the nuts to keep them from backing off??

Girdles just stabilize rocker arms in hi rpm / hi tension valve spring applications.

The nuts on these have an allen set screw in the middle that jams against the tip of the rocker stud to keep the nut from turning.

Those are one of the best rockers money can buy, for off the shelf stuff. I ended up buying the Crane aluminum, the large cam I run liked the full roller. Congrats on the new toys

If I can get my neutral safety switch working.

Pain in the ass tech inspections! Bremerton raceway is about 5 miles from my house.
