Have you seen this seat cover before?

I have a 1972 Chevy Cheyenne. The attached pics are from what I was told was an "original" seat cover for this year and model truck.

Can anybody confirm this, and if so where can I get a replacement

Thanks
Robert - Houston, Texas

I don't know if it's factory or not but it sure looks good--I love green!

The vinyl looks original, but the fabric inserts may be more recently done.

That's correct for a 72 Cheyenne, including the cloth inserts

i DON'T THINK THOSE ARE ORIGINAL FOR CHEYENNE OPTINED TRUCKS, THINK THAT HOUNDSTOOTH OR WALRUS GRAIN VYNIL WERE ONLY AVAILABLE FABRICS FOR CHEYENNE. THE PATTERN IN THE CENTER (SCROLL IN OBLONG PATTERN) LOOKS LIKE CUSTOM DELUXE PATTERN. IN '72 GM PUT TOGETHER SEVERAL PACKAGES TO HELP SELL TRUCKS AND APPEAL TO WIDER AUDIENCE (I.E. HIGHLANDER PACKAGE, PLAID CLOTH INSERTS) AND THESE PACKAGES WERE ONLY AVAILABLE ON CUSTOM DELUXE TRUCKS. BY THE WAY NOT POSSIBLE TO HAVE CUSTOM DELUXE CHEYENNE, IT IS ONE OR THE OTHER BUT NOT BOTH. I THINK THAT SOME OF THE SEAT CLOTH PATTERNS ARE SHOWN IN THE SALES BROCHURES FOR '72. IF NOT THEY DEFINATELY ARE SHOWN IN THE SALES BROCHURE FOR '71. C.A.R.S. INC. HAS SOME OF THE ORIGINAL FABRIC PATTERNS, GARY TERRY AT CHEYENNE PICKUP PARTS IN ABLENE TEXAS CAN GET THEM AND I AM SURE TIM CHRISTIAN OR GMC PAULS CAN GET THEM AS WELL, ANYWAY LL GOOD PLACES TO LOOK.

Yep, that is a factory Custom Deluxe seat cover, not a Cheyenne. Cheyenne's were ALL vinyl and Cheyenne super's has the "Houndstooth" inserts. I have a 62k mile original 72 Custom deluxe and it has that same seat.

I can confirm one more year back. My dad's '70 Custom 10 had the same seat in red.

Thanks for all the info.... now if I can just find a replacement. Also, thanks for the education on the Custom Deluxe and Cheyenne. I have both badge sets, but everything was leaning towards the Custom Deluxe verses the Cheyenne.

I will check the supppliers some of you gave me to see if there is a replacement - my is has been trashed since I got the truck. It is time to clean her up.

I will keep you all posted - as always thanks for the information.

I recently had my front seat redone. It is exactly the same as yours. The only supplier I was able to find was CARS, Inc. Their website is www.carsinc.com, but I would recommend calling them direct. The cover was about $319. It looks excellent, the only problem I have had were a few loose threads in the lower area. Here are a couple pics.
