Water Temp Sensor/Guage - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I've got a stock temp sending unit (84 Suburban). Will an aftermarkt electric temp guage work with it? If not, where is a good place to get something that will work with the stock unit?

Most guages will only work with a very narrow range of sending units, at least that's been my experience. If you are buying an aftermarket guage, a new sending unit will come with it.

yah... i was afraid of that. the one I bought didn't have the sender... you had to buy it seperate and of course they didn't have THAT in stock... looks like i'll be returning that!
