WTD 1959 4 speed shifter knob

Hi, does anyone have a 4 speed shifter knob to sell. Seems as if the ones that they sell on various vendor sites don't have the 4 speed diagram embossed on them. Thank you

I do not remember the stock ones having the embossing. To save money look on eBay under tractor parts, same style as trucks but 1/4 the cost.

Stock knobs were never embossed. I think you can get one off a 70's big truck that was embossed if you can find one.

Not sure if this has the same reverse as yours. You might e-mail the seller . Might have a left reverse.

I'd have to go out and actually look on the knob on my 77 1 ton but I don't think it is embossed either.

Re: WTD 1959 4 speed shifter knob

Probably swapped from a later model truck or even a non Chevy/GMC truck.

I looked and my 77's knob is marked but the knob is different.

Yours probably doesn't have the ridges around the side but is this the general shape of the knob you have or is it round or ? I can find marked knobs for 4 speed Jeep CJ but they are round.

Re: WTD 1959 4 speed shifter knob

Some more searching shows this one which leads you to a 68/72 Chev truck with an SM 465 trans Trouble is I don't think the aftermarket makes them. I think we had that knob in the 70 longbed we had.

You might try Jim Carter, he may not have a new one but he may have a decent used one.

You might snoop the Ford truck parts sites for a new one like this. I think they are still the same thread https://www.ebay.com/itm/73-79-Ford-....c100005.m1851

Re: WTD 1959 4 speed shifter knob

Some of the larger truck transmissions had embossed knobs. But for many years the Muncie 4 speed truck knobs were plain black.
