Picked up this truck recently from doug. (68350) and only needed the box for my work trailer. Not long ago I would be recruiting buddies and paying with beer. Now I can swap them on my own... Just thought I would share some pics...

You've got yourself a sure nuff mobile hoist. You could lift all sorts of things with it and you have plenty of room to use it there too. Handy piece of equipment.

In two of those pictures, the right front tire of your loader looks like it's the left rear tire of the truck bed! Weirdness!

Dang, you must be doing some fair sizes jobs then. I'd love to be needing one. Very handy for many things. We've always called them Pettibones around here... or at least the older guys did. I'm curious if that is what others call or called them. It's like calling a skid loader a Bobcat or a dozer a Cat.

Curious about the specs on your trailer. How did you decide on tongue length? Did you do anything to the rear end to make it work as a trailer axel. Seems like I read on the board some people modify them in some way or another.

That is handy. My buddy in Wyoming has all that equipment at his disposal thru work. I think about it a lot when I’m using a cherry picker and wood blocks at home.

Pettibone or lull which are manufacturers are usually what people call them, otherwise “reach fork” or “variable reach forklift”

I have a back-hoe to use,but I think yours' would be handier!
We called them Lulls,although there are many brands out there now that look very much alike.
Have run them on the job.Only complaint is there is no rain protection on most of them!
Is yours' all wheel steer?

I too have a back hoe to do the heavy lifting. The Telehandler or Zoom Boom as they are called here would be much more versatile for box/cab removal but tough to justify the cost lol. The hoe digs better holes and that’s what I need on the acreage.

Yep, Lulls too. It was those two brands forever but around here we'd say Pettibone. I say this because that's still what comes out of my mouth and I'm not sure they are even still around. I also say Skil saw for circular saw. I like Zoom boom. Yep, that's what it is. I hear telehandler as the 'proper' term. Also says what it is, but not as fun to say!

Just got it last fall and only been to 1 job this year so far. Will get a workout setting some rafters shortly. Around here it is a telehandler or I heard rough terrain forklift.

That was an original 72 shortbed truck from CA that got hit in the front. Had to add an extra brace for the longbed box. The rest was done before I picked it up. If you need any measurements, let me know.

Yes, it has the "crab" steer, 42' reach and 6k lbs lift.

The right tool.

I tore down the crumbling block wall that was used to terrace my front lawn. Well, one of my sons did most of the work; my back is toast. Anyway, I ordered blocks, concrete mix and mortar mix. The delivery guy had a forklift that could have the wheels all turn sideways, and he crabbed it along the sidewalk to put two whole pallets of blocks up on the higher elevation. Saved us a ton of time, not having to move hundreds of blocks from the driveway to the other side of the front yard. I've done that thing where I buy all the materials and load it into the back of the truck, take it home, unload it, move the blocks, etc. NEVER AGAIN. I told my wife that whatever she wants done in the back yard is going to be done by professionals who have strong backs like I had 40 years ago.

Let THEM wear themselves out. I've had my turn!

I bought my first one in 1995. It was a Skytrak, and that was the prevalent brand here so they were called Skytrak's.

Skytrak has lost it's king of the hill status here so now we call them telehandlers.

This one came in handy when a Stepvan I had since 1983 went to the scrapper..

It sucks not being able to hear! LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB! After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
