I did not think the LS would run that smooth without the MAF hooked up.
Did you have the O2 hooked up?
Aluminum heads heat up pertty fast, did you have any water in the block?

I was also surprised how smooth it ran, I did have the O2's hooked up so that certainly helped. Good call on the temp, I only ran it for a bit but you are correct.
