tire size question....

Hey I was wondering I have a set of 31 x 10.50's on my Jimmy... this truck has the same bolt pattern as my 68 6 lug...I was thinking of sticking them on the 68. Has anyone put a tire that big on their truck? I have the standard ride height and I know if I put that much meat up front I will need the power steering.. but will they rub?

I'm running 31 x 10.5 on a 72 C10 without any problems. I prefer them over the 235/75/15 tires I am running on the 70 GMC C10.
