New purchase

I got locked out of my old profile of klmore so it's been a while.

I'm back in the fold with a 72 c20. Well optioned with 400, auto, AC. I have the original paperwork and protect-o-plate.

It has custom paint on the spid with a factory blue center stripe and blue top. It was originally purchased by V. G. Plumbing Co. in Mesquite, Tx and had a service body. I'm trying to find a good reason to put it back to original and also hunting for a prior owner. I believe one is a board member.

Here it is in its current form.

Re: New purchase

Welcome (back!) I bet the administrators could resurrect your old profile, might be worth asking. So, I'm dying to see this SPID, and how the paint code is worded. Had a special paint 76 once and was forever trying to figure out the details behind it. I knew the colors, but could never figure out if it was something like a highway work truck or a privately owned one, etc. Oh well, it's sold now, but still... Ha. What's a factory blue center stripe? Do you mean between the upper and lower trim? (along with blue top). What was the other color white? And how did you figure out that was the original paint scheme if it's been repainted? Quite interested, have never seen one like I think you're describing. Nice truck. And when you say put it back to original, do you mean with the service body too or just to the original special paint scheme? Gonna follow along on this!

It's all original paint minus the replacement bed and primer. The bottom of the fenders and glass removal told the tail.

Original with the service body.

Thank you. I'm really wanting to find some information and old pictures of this truck if possible.

Here are some more pictures.
