old school tonneau cover stud removal

Hi,

I have no experience with body work/paint, so would love some advice.
I'm interested in a c10 that has studs in the body for the tonneau cover.
I have attached a picture of what the studs look like (pic not on the c10).

Is there a way to get rid of these studs and still have a presentable paint/body on the truck? (as I definitely don't want them on the truck)
Or is this a costly thing to do? The truck I am looking at isn't cheap.

Thanks for any help.

Welcome....those snaps are held on with screws...really nothing you can do except weld up the holes, filler , and prime/ repaint
