Board search question

I go to advanced search in the area Im interested in looking, keyword box, and titles only. Sometimes I want to search a two word item, like window frame, so Ill type that in the keyword box.

I get a million posts. Some threads have window in the title, some have frame. I try putting window frame in quotes, still doesn't work right. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a function that you just have to weed out all of the irrelevant searches?

Re: Board search question

maybe "window frame" with quotes will work. It does a lot of other search products.

Re: Board search question

.
This should work
window > frame

What that 'should' do is feed the results of a search for "windows" into a search for "frame"

Re: Board search question

Putting window frame in quotes was the first thing I tried. Window > frame doesn't work either. In the end its really not that big a deal. I was just trying to make it a tad easier for me =)

Re: Board search question

I think this will work...

Go to the Google.com search window and type this into it:

site:67-72chevytrucks.com window >frame

...where "window" and "frame" are your search terms
...no spaces between "site:" and "67-72...com"

...if you want to add additional search terms add additional " > your-new-search-term

Re: Board search question

That does work and its definitely worth a go. My only problem with it is that it searches the entire board. Not just the section I want to look in.

Less to weed out though … thanks!
