Tow trucks WIW

So I am came home last night and the roomate shows me some pics of a tow truck he stumbled accross when he went to look at another car at the same location. So from the pics it looks to be a 69 or 70 C30 tow truck. Looks like it has been sitting a while but someone had started to fix parts of the towing equipment. new cable and chains. So what price would you pay for a running condition unknown but complete truck?

Re: Tow trucks WIW

Well added the tow truck to the collection this weekend, also brought home three 73-87 k10 with it. Tow truck motor runs great have replace key switch, body is a little rough but the winch and booms are all there.

Re: Tow trucks WIW

Would you be willing to post a photo or four--and let us know what you paid for it. I'd like to have some references for my next tow truck possible purchase.

Re: Tow trucks WIW

Ok so all told package deal paid $1400 for the tow truck and three other trucks. I took some parts off the other three trucks and then sold them as package deal for $800. So after oil change and tune up on the tow truck. I have about $650 in it. Though the purchase price for it by itself would have been $1000. It runs and drives now, have moved a few things around the yard with it. All the tow gear works, has fairly new j hooks, cable was re spooled as well. The lights all worked till i pressure washed the engine yesterday think its just a loose ground. I will post some pics when i get a chance.
