Talking V-12 engine sold... Market place

You don't see these very often and very seldom for sell.
I hope it was sold to somebody close.

$3,500
These engines were used in all the Minute Man Missle Carriers during the Cuban missile crisis in the 60s. They were also used in SEMI trucks, particularly the GMC Cracker Box style cab, at the time they had more torque than any diesel, also some fire engines had them. This engine was run on propane all its life, is in good shape, complete with clutch pack.....still has the propane set up, but have the two gas manifolds with carbs to go on it......only made 5000 of these awesome engines......great to take to shows.....hardly anyone has heard of one or seen one....PM me if interested......price is firm....and a bargain. This engine ran when I aquired it and is free and will run again, I haven't had the time to run and repaint it. A running engine goes for $5000 and that wouldn't include the Rockwell clutch pack. located in upstate SC, NW corner...Thanks, Lee. ADDED GENERAL INFO....12/3....275 HP @2400 RPM AND 630 ft pounds of torque at 1600 RPM

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: V-12 engine sold... Market place

The valve covers don't look like it, but is this the V-12 produced by joining two of the GMC V-6 305, 351, 401 and 478 engines?
