help me!!

Hi all,

Last post was about headgaskets.. well finally did the install. 416 heads, holley 650 dp, and msd hei. Can't get it running right. This is on a 1970 c10 with a 307.

Got iti idling decent, let it warm up, then set the timing to 10 degrees btdc. I started off with the idle screws at 1 annd a halfturns out. It shut off on me and now won't start back up, acts like the battery is dead but I just had it idling for about 30 mins. Alternator is new and so is battery. First thing is obviously check cranking amps and volatge.

Also another thing when I hooked a vacuum gauge to the carb, it pegged to 30".. idk what to do next.. hep please!! Someone!

Re: help me!!

New parts don't mean good parts. Or maybe you hooked the alternator up and you weren't charging. Don't good too discouraged, start at the basics and work your way through it again.
