quick steering column question
I have a 68 c10 and I am installing an ididit column. My question is...Is there a factory mount/clamp that goes on the outside of the firewall? There is one shown in this build thread

Yes, there is. There's a plate that bolts to the firewall and makes a bend towards the column, half round of course. Then there's a round clamp that goes over that plate and the column shaft and bolts together, securing it. I'm not aware of its availability in aftermarket, but you should check the parts board.

Yep that's exactly what I'm missing. Can't seem to find a stock replacement. Only something like this...
