What would you choose (pics)
I am building a 1956 GMC 1/2 ton daily driver,mild V8,auto just a nice cruiser. My decision I have to make is I have both a small window cab and a big window cab which one would you go with and reasons why. help me with my decision. See pics below

Big window all the way!! I have not good reason other than it looks 79677456643536478566 times better.
Here is a 55-56 big window Chevy (I think) that I saw at a recent show...

Yeah.... tough decision to make... Both look very good. I had the chance to buy a 59 Big back window truck, but I still love the classic look of the small one. But If you have a large back window, I would put that in... its harder to find compared to the small back windows... Do you have glass for the big window.. If not well then that might be a desiding factor, cause they are way more expensive than a small back window...

i would agree also but my time and money would be an issue, which cab is in better shape and would take less time and money to get the truck together, just my 2cents Pugs

Small window. Why be a number like everyone else with a big window? Besides, big windows are like fish-bowls, and if you live in a desert area are uncomfortable to drive with the sun blaring in on your back.

I like small windows looks better but, ya can see waaaay better out of a big window. much less of a blind spot.

Ifn its gonna be a daily driver with modern engine and running gear, are ya planning on going with a shoulder harness seat belt? If so, the small window may be the way to go.
My '59 has a small window and if everything were equal, I would choose the larger. I think the BIG window was a fancier option... |

My 58 is a small back glass. I like the small back glass better myself, probally keep you alot cooler not having the sun shining on you and the interrior thru the bigger back glass. But the big back glas does make it a little easier to see behind you. I think the big back glass trucks bring more cash when people sell them.

Can you help me with my serial number?
I have an old GMC pick up serial number 102CY3991.  I think I have this almost figured out.10= ½ ton 2= long bed C=Oakland California Y= Later part of 1955 3991 = production number Does the Y mean 1955? The title says 1956. Is this truck a 1955? There is a comment section on the title that says 3625 56 I was wondering if the title may be wrong. Do you know how many trucks of this model were produced that time frame? I haven’t seen too many GMC long beds with the custom cabs out there and was wondering if I got I rare one. |

Can always sand and primer the cab you dont use and keep it for later use. Neve know when you or somebody else might need one.

I would use the Big back window cab, If my daughter was voting she would choose the small window .
