Re: Project: Boosted Blucille. '70 C10 SWB PB Fab, LS2 S475

Well I finally have an update on this thing. Somewhat anyway lol I've been so busy in the past month that I really havent had time to do anything to the truck. Deer season and work has pretty much been taking up all of my time. But I finally set aside some time to work on the truck. Been trying to get it back to a roller again. Got all the bag stuff back from powdercoat. I'm waiting on my plumbing kit from Accuair so I can air this thing up and measure for a driveshaft. Ordered a month ago and still waiting. I guess they switched machine shops recently and it's put orders behind.

Also finally heard something out of my painter. Thats been a battle that I'd rather not discuss. Dropped the cab off in February and he's still working on it But he got all the sheetmetal work finished and the lizard skin shot on the inside of the cab.

Chassis and Cab look great! Hopefully, you will get the body shop motivated to finish your project soon.

Thanks, fellas! Nothing new to report. Still waiting on my accuair parts Hopefully get something figured out with them next week. I've set a goal of having it ready for late spring early summer. Have a long ways to go but I think this is an achievable goal for me. Once the cab is on, its really down to a whole lot of wiring. Still quite a bit to buy but when I started this build before I even bought a truck, I had absolutely every single aspect of it planned out in my head. Some of it has changed and evolved into what you see now, but the end product will be the same. Started to get extremely excited about this thing. Just ready for some turbo noises!

I'm still kicking guys lol Had to take a break from the truck for a bit. I was getting a little burnt on it honestly. But rest assured, I'm bout to fire back up on it. I was trying to let work pick back up. I work in the oilfield and its always hit or miss whether the work is going to be there or not. Over the last 6 months, it's picked up beyond my wildest dreams. Started back up in January with 6 guys working for me, and now have over 50 employees. So its a headache that obviously takes time away from the truck.

I took a step back on the truck. Guy liked my wheels I had on it and I mouthed off a price. Next thing I know they were mounted on his truck lol Bout to order the race lines for it but its a couple month wait on them. I'm slowly getting motivated to get back on it so stay tuned.

I bought a set of dining chairs I really didn't want just trying to be nice like that one time... and no worries on the build progress everyone has hurdles and life to handle so we're all accustomed to it. Besides it's a great time to get to rethink every little detail and add to your list lmao

Re: Project: Boosted Blucille. '70 C10 SWB PB Fab, LS2 S475

Alright I need some opinions. I'm having an internal battle with myself over wheel choice. I let my friends get in my head too much I'm gonna run 22s all around. 8.5 in the front and either a 10 or 12 in the rear. Having trouble finding tires to fit the 12" wide wheel without spending $600 a tire. Any help would be appreciated. But heres my two wheel choices.

HELP ME

Go 10.5s with 315s. Anything wider gets stupid pricy... I like the straight spoke.

My vote is for the Burst 5, as it is one of my favorite wheels from Raceline!

Thanks, guys. Well its settled burst 5 it is! It was what I was leaning towards in the first place. Fits the style and my vision for the truck better than anything in my opinion. I got them ordered today so now the waiting game starts. Went with a 22x8.5 with 5.25 backspace for the front and 22x10 with 4.5 backspace for the rear. Should give me a good lip. Only drawback is I'm gonna have to take the rear end back out of it and have it cut back down again. But I think I will be much happier with it in the long run this way.

Finally have something to update y'all on. Wheels are in! Just need to get some tires in and I can finally start moving forward. These showing up gives me some motivation though.
