71 Front Brake Hose

How long is a front brake hose for a 71? Napa hose was too short, data shows 11.5". Every vendor shows 11.5" I know the 71-72 hoses are longer due to tab location. Does anyone have a part number that worked on their 71-72.

Re: 71 Front Brake Hose

Call Inline Tube. Just picked up a set from them and they work well.

Re: 71 Front Brake Hose

I think the 2 sides are different lengths. I also got mine from Napa and for what ever reason I had to switch them from one side to the other because the part numbers were not correct, or something like that.

Well by measuring a new set I get one side is
12" from end of hose that connects to brake line to center of banjo bolt hole,
the other side is
12 1/2" total length from end that connects to brake line of hose to end of banjo fitting.
The 3/4 ton hoses are approx. 1" longer per side.
Sorry I don't remember whether the Left drivers side or the Right passenger side is the longer hose at the moment without checking that's installed.

Re: 71 Front Brake Hose

You cannot put the hoses on the wrong sides. The nuts on the metal lines are two different sizes. The last rubber lines I ordered from rock auto also for a 1/2 ton worked but they were from china. Are you putting these on a conversion or a 71/72?

Re: 71 Front Brake Hose

Going on a 71. Foolishly disposed of old lines so can't compare. Napa part would not reach from caliper to hard line.
Thanks for measurements
