I think I could sleep there.I would have to have an extension cord for my C-PAP though. That way my snoring would not wake me up.I might be having a truck dream and want to finish it.

Geez LHM, Sounds like you could sleep thru anything. Wish I could; I am the complete oppossite of you. If a pin drops during the night I am up for the rest of it. And as far as age goes you are only as young as you feel/act. That would propably then make me older than my 66 year old dad.

Re: Is it bad when your own snoring wakes you up.....
Sorry LHM, not really sure. Thats just what my dad tells me. Of course he says he feels like he is 18; and I know he definately acts like he is 18. Where as I am 27, and act like I am 47, and feel like I am 47; so I never really questioned which one it relied on more.
I say go with what makes you sound younger. Congrats you are still a teenager!! |

Re: Is it bad when your own snoring wakes you up.....
M1 mechanic was a 63E back before the new redesign of the 63 series.
Not only did I sleep in the M88A1, I slept through a 5 mile road march, at which when we got to the new location, they disconnected from the tank they were towing, then pulled up on the spaid and installed the lock out blocks and pulled the deck and then pack out of the tank. For those not in the know, 5 miles is about a 30 min ride, track vehicles do NOT ride nice, they vibrate like mad. With a tank hooked on the tow bar, 12 MPH is the most you'll do (this was in an A1, not the new A2 hercules). Then when pulling on the spaid, you are at a seriouse incline for 5 min or so, then pulling the deck and pack required another 30 min or so of hyd operations (even more noise added). I woke up when they shut the engine off. |

I woke up the guy down the road working under his car with my snoring under mine! The taste of oil dripping into my gaping mouth is what woke me up

Re: Is it bad when your own snoring wakes you up.....
So ,,you snore that loud huh? I suppose it is a good way to check the Vilosity or the viscosity of the oil by mouth .. I can see maybe going to sleep here in idaho where I live now under one of my rigs ,,but back in Oregon it just isnt that many days that is warm and comfy to take a nap under a car.. but ,,then again being older,, I might just be able to do it..

Re: Is it bad when your own snoring wakes you up.....
All the dogs I've had love laying up under the trucks. I admire dogs a lot. I envy them. So laying up under the truck and dozing off is a mighty fine way to get close to feeling like one. It's as close to heaven as it gets. I know people who have been all over the world doing wonderful things, but they've never laid up under a truck and taken a nap. What a waste
