This 67-72forum, is great for finding unusual stuff.

Brand new in the box.
15x6 and 15x8 chrome reverse wheels in 6-lug!

And they will take a dogdish hubcap.

The Series 64 wheel is chrome,... like the old school chrome reverse wheels.
How do the caps attach to these wheels?

They snap over the nubs.
Any 1/2 ton dogdish hubcap should work.
Even some passenger car caps.

Re: steel wheels

I'm sorry but I disagree, I have always liked beauty rings so I'd put one on and see if you like it. Just my opinion plus it will go with the chrome grille and bumpers on your truck.

Re: steel wheels

Fella's, I'm kind of glad this thread got brought back up. I will be in the market for steelies probably very shortly after Christmas time and will be going wheel vintque. Here's lies my delima. At the moment, I am running drums all the way around. But at some point, and may very well be when I get my steelies, I will be converting to disc. Now with that laid out there I know there are issues with clearances, so I'm hoping you guys running steelies and discs up front will chime in here. What deminsion's will I be looking for as far as backspacing rim width ect? Would it help to go to a 16x7?

Re: steel wheels

Not really sure how low the bottom rocker is, but it has about 5/8" between the front tire and the inner fender when aired out. It won't go any lower without some frame mods.

The wheels are Wheels Vintique series 12 smoothies. The front are 15x7 with a 4"back space. The rears are 15x10 with a 4" back space. I am running a 4x4 S10 rearend which is narrower than the factory by about 3". The rear wheels just clear the fenders, I had to bend the wheel well lip in to clear.

The color is antique white from Sherwin Williams straight out of the rattle can.

I ordered the wheels from summit racing and they come primered gray, great service, fast, and free shipping.

The wheel centers are 3.2 inches.

The center caps are 52 chevy from wheels vintique also from summit racing

The picture is from the Indy Goodguys sitting on pit road waiting to go out on the track.

Re: steel wheels

I run the series 82 which is the same just with 8 lug. The steel is thinner than my stock wheels. But thats probably not an issue for a 1/2 ton pickup. Also I thought they came powder coated but mime appear to kust have a thin coat of black paint.

Re: steel wheels

I have Vette Rallys on my 65 and on my buddy John's 63 (JAM55) and have always liked them but lately I'm really liking the old school look of Chrome reverse and Smoothies.

Re: steel wheels

Digging up an old bone here but, not my fault it still is in the cloud!

I am about to pull the trigger on a set of WV's 16x6 with 6 lug for my 63' so I can mount up my BFG's. Cost wise it is the most logical choice as you all say.

Not finding the caps for the 52' Chevy with the bow tie you talk about. Granted that may have been a a year or so ago, but my plan was a OEM set of 16's with 54' truck hub caps. Will OEM caps fit these wheels - even possibly adding factor clips as an option? This is primarily what is holding me back at this moment.

The center caps are P/N 1005-1 on the summit web site.
