help please 86 700r4 tranny...Questions about the TCC

Hello I am a fresh newbie here. I have a 67 c-10,it has a 350sbc in it and I had a crappy 350 transmission in it.It finally gave up on its life. So I got a 700r4 and installed it the 700r4 date code is 1986.... Everything is good to go I tested it out just around the block but I need to hook up the TCC plug... My question is can I just run a power wire from pin A to my brake switch and that be all... I'm currently unemployed and not having any luck with job finding so I can't afford to buy much right now and I can't afford to pay for another tranny but I been researching the TCC online and I've seen many diagrams that shows that I can connect pin A to the brake switch please someone help I need to hook it up the easiest and cheapest way so I can have my wheels back and get more luck finding a job
Thanks
Sincerely Frank R.
