Re: Autocross AD

from the g machine page

http://www.schwartzperformance.com/1...is-full-frame/

looks like they do bracing if you want it because some frames are laddered

Re: Autocross AD

Daaaaamn that seems reasonable for a full frame kit when you look at all the work involved doing something like that.

Re: Autocross AD

That is quite a deal when they are competing with trucks that are specifically built to run those Goodguys Autocross events.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Autocross AD

Schwartz had a really good build thread for that truck, you can see most of it in their “projects” section.

I too am perplexed about how minimal the Schwartz chassis’ are. Even their k members for other makes are fairly minimal. But, obviously they work. I suppose you can’t go fast with a bunch of extra weight.

If you look at the g machine chassis, it actually has a radius arm lower control arm, very interesting.

On a side note, the Raybestos truck is using Shelby 14” rotors and Toyota 4 piston calipers. Just food for thought.
