hey guys,

can anyone tell me if the bedsides off a 57 1/2 ton are the same as the bed sides off the 54 and 55 1st series.

No they are different. 55 first and second series changed

i just ran across to perfect bedsides for 25 bucks a side. I think Im going to get them and store them anyway. I appreciate the quick response

Well there both flat rails you might just have to redrill the fender holes. For that price I would even buy them if they fit a FERD

yeah, thats what i was thinking. Maybe do some fabbing and see if they will fit. Im sure I will have no problem selling and maybe making a buck or to.

Mar-K shows different part numbers for 54-55 1st series and 55 second-57 bed sides. Stake pockets might be different.

Other than fender holes, I'm pretty certain the bed sides are the same from 54-87 with the exception being that 54 and 55S1 had the beauty lines showing the inside lines of the fender. Kind of an embossing. I've seen newer beds on the '54/55s because they are just "smooth" on the inside.

The 1973-1987 are different. They are cut off shorter at the bottom of the front of the bed to clear the gas tanks.
