Here are a few from my files. Plus an added bonus of an ochre and white RPO "special paint" truck in reverse special two-tone.

Re: Lets see Ochre and White trucks

Here's mine. Seems to be a pretty rare color combination and trim package. Not sure if its stock though. I do know that it was repainted the "stock" color though.

That paint style is known as a "Special Two-Tone" (white roof/body color/white rockers). If original to your truck it should be code 590 IIRC on your SPID. The "Custom" (RPO Z62) was an intermediate trim level (in 1970). The upper and lower bodyside moldings (RPO BX2 & B85) were optional with Custom trim.

However 70 was the first year of the Ochre paint and the last for Special Two-Tone on pickups. So it was a one year only deal for your combination as far as I know.

Re: Lets see Ochre and White trucks

I have an ochre and white 1972 K10 in original dress, needs paint badly though. I hated it at first, but I have grown to appreciate it. My friend looked at it and said " you would never see that color sold today! " that's when i knew I would stay in the original colors. It's really a gold not a yellow, I say keep the color! Erik

Thanks Tom. Here is what it looked like exactly 5 years ago when I brought it home...sitting in the same spot on the driveway.
