Now I discovered the Goodyear wrangler Duratrac. Hmmm, like those, wonder if the Dratracs will out last the new BFG KO2s

Saw some big coopers AT3s in a parking lot, the side wall looks stupid with that z lighting bolt looking thing

From what I have heard and read, no. They do look nice, and they perform pretty well, but are noisier (if that matters) and don't last as long as KO2s.

Ok.... Id did notice the Duratracs were rated as a mud terrain...softer rubber than than KO2s maybe

One thing about the KO2s,,, 15/32 tread depth.... Duratracs 18/32", and other tires mostly are 17/32" or more

I noticed this when I put new KOs E load on my diesel dodge a few years ago just visually the tread looked shallower than my old set of KO D load rated 35/12.5/16.5s on my chevy

Well im back to the KO2s but I am looking at Toyos ATs and Pro Comp ATs and there is Hankooks too

I Now the BFGs ride and track nice and are quiet. I heard the one of brands doesnt track good and shimmies alittle , cant remember which

These Pro Comps have my interest. I wonder if they ride and track nice? 60k mile tread wear warranty. Looked at them at 4wheel parts store, nice looking tire anyway

Re: Cooper AT3s 315/75/16

I don't know why BFG has to keep screwing with their tires. I had a set of AT's on my Tundra for winter use. They were E rated, wore like iron and were great in snow. Not sure how many miles on them, but guessing 20-30k, and still looked new. I had a set of the Duratracs on my old 88, as aggressive as they looked, they were stupid quiet. But I didn't have the truck long enough to measure wear, or mud/snow traction. But many people I talked to bout them loved them, said they had pretty good wear to them. I'd get a set if they weren't so damn expensive!!!!!

If you are looking into a long lasting performance AT like this than my vote would be for the Toyo AT. Since you're in Idaho there are Les Schwabs everywhere which carry them. Furthermore, free mount and balance, rotates, etc. Granted they are not cheap and don't expect Schwab to drop much on their advertised price but compared to tire shipping costs, wait time, dismount/disposal/mount/balance at $15/tire, I find it more convenient to grab them locally, especially if I get a flat.

Re: Cooper AT3s 315/75/16

My nitto trail grappler 37's roll super true. I'm picky and can't stand tires that won't balance correctly. They are also quieter than my 35" toyo mt's .

Re: Cooper AT3s 315/75/16

I have had good luck with Coopers and the old BFGoodRichs. I know a lot of people seem to run the Duratracs around here but I have no personal experience with them. I also second getting tires locally. Got a good friend at a Tire Rama that cuts me a deal for every set of tires as long as I refer people to him which I do. Can't beat free rotates and flat repairs.
