fuel filler neck

I would like to change my rotted fuel filler neck and noticed the ones you can buy seem different, I dont see a hose clamp on the new ones and the rubber hose is already attached to the new one my concern is with the new one I will need to go through the trouble of replacing the hose also. has anyone installed one of these and had to use the new rubber hose. this is what it looks like hope the link works. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk.../RB577095.html

Re: fuel filler neck

Does the new smaller hose slide easily through the old large hose

Re: fuel filler neck

That hose is actually the vent hose. It lets air escape when you fill the tank. It's designed just like the original one. My only concern is dorman is fine as long as it isn't made from metal, rubber, or plastic

Re: fuel filler neck

I bought the dorman filler neck and installed it today, I didn't remove the old big hose The dorman slid right in the big hose with no problem. The old filler was so bad hopefully it cures my po442 the hard part was getting the broken part of the old filler out of the end of the big hose.
