'57 Chevy LS3/4L60E, Thought Id share.

This is a very good customer of mine's car, And one of my favorite cars to work on & test drive.
Has had the same owner since May of '57 (2nd owner). Mostly drag raced..Has 94,000 miles.
Has had 28 different engines in it since new....Including several 301/327/350 sbc's & 3 LS1's.
Still wears its original paint & interior.

Original specs...
'57 Chevy Sport Coupe.
283 with Two-Fours.
Close ratio 3 speed.
8.2" 10 bolt w/ 3:70's.

Current drivetrain specs...
'11 Camaro LS3...
Comp cam(Ill give cam specs later)
GMPP CNC ported heads.
E38 ECM.
446hp/419ft.lbs.

'98 4L60E...
4L65E planets.
Sleeved input drum.
9 3-4 clutches
Sonnex smart shell
HD-2 shift kit.
Yank 3000 stall converter.
CompuShift controller.

'69 Chevelle 12 bolt...
Eaton posi carrier (400 lb)
OEM 3:73 gears.
Moser C-clip axles.

Original (re-cored) 3-core radiator, 180 to 210 at all times

Broke 98 LS1 coming out (pulled heads for lifter/cam problem).....

Cool car, don't see many factory dual 4bbl cars, but I guess that engine is long gone. Almost had a new engine every two years!?

Traded years ago for a alcohol hilborn/enderle 301 set-up.
The engine count isnt to bad considering the hardcore 7000 to 8500 rpm drag racing in the last 55 years.

It's had the car 12 bolt for along time, It's blown up once since ive been taking care of it, But the case was unhurt.

That's way cool, not many raced cars look that nice, especially 55yo ones.. I would imagine with that much use it's had to have a rear or two.

Theres a nice body shell and frame on the Little Rock Arkansas Craigs List right now. Got to stop dreaming. Nice car though your taking care of.
