just realized the pics look like i have a tube grill, its not, its a billet, also forgot to mention the trucks suspension/rolling stock, 9" suspension lift ( all springs, no blocks) and a 3" body lift, 12" total. im working on dual shock mounts for front and read, so each corner runs dual shocks, wheels are 16.5x14 weld typhoons with 35x14.50 swamper tsl's.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Here's mine a 1986. Currently sitting on 33" MTs on stock rims, add-a-leafs all around. It has a transplanted 350 done by the PO. I sold the 700R4/208 combo and I have everything needed to put in a SM465/NP205 combo. I wish it would quit raining. Also, has 3.08 gears but I have a set of axles w/ 3.42s I hope to install soon too. Interior has been gutted of carpet and I will be raptor lining it this spring.

My daily driver 1989 w/ 6" lift and 36" swamper tsl radials 4.56 gears. It was stock when we bought it 2 1/2 years ago w/89,000 original miles(if I remember right) and the dredded 2.73 gears. When we tuned it up it had all the original plugs wires and cap! It has 140,000 miles now and runs great!! Yes it needs paint but the interior is pretty close to cherry except carpet stains(previous owners kids) and door trim around the pull handle. I traded my rock crawler to my husband so I could start fixing the blazer. We had 5 trucks and needed to down size a little.1989 blazer 4x4, 1995 Ford Crew Cab power stroke 4x4 for towing the toys, 1999 tacoma 2x2 for gas milage(now for sale), 1985 step side rockcrawler with dual toyota cases(parted this truck out) and 1985 toyota 4runner rockcrawler(this thing goes anywhere). I almost forgot 1986 trx 250r(his), 2004 ltz400 white of course(mine)I use to have a 73 blazer(6" 35's soft top etc) that I had to sell due to $$ reasons at the time. I think we have enough toys now. Now we looking for a "toy hauler".Please feel free to comment. I am looking for a few part for the blazer like billet door trim and dash trim if anyone has any they want to get rid of. I will take more pics again soon with the roof rack and new white face gauges.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Hey guys. This is my 90 Burb 1/2ton 4x4. I bought it for $750 from a friend of a friend who said it ran good about a year ago. He said all i would need to do is pop in a battery and put some gas in. It had sat for over a year without starting though. Once i finally got it started.. after hours or pouring everything u can think of into the intake. I gave a full tune up and hours later found that the rear main seal blew out and all my oil was puddled under the truck. Well i went ahead and got a longblock 350 for 724 and slapped it in and kept the TBI for now and put it in. The tranny went out awhile back and after 390, which was really cheap, the 700r4 was back in business. The rear axles carrier went out so i dropped another 600 into a auburn carrier locker and the install kit for it. Ive put about 4k into this truck going by my best guess at this point. I got BIG plans for it soon just trying to stack some cash. I have 4" leafs for the front sitting in garage. Im gonna put on 6" flip and switch kit on the rear leafs. tryin to fit 37x14.5x15. Right now i got Mud Trac 32's i had laying around in the garage off another truck i had. Eventually i am adding a high out put alt, dual batteries, gonna use two KINETIK HC2400 (2400 Cranking amps!!!). Bad boys weigh in at 69 lbs each. Planning on a front and rear replacment bumper with winches on both, not sure which winches im gonna go with. Looking for some nice HID lights That are reasonibly priced enough to have 5 on top with a lght bar i have sitting in my garage. The roof i sanded down and primed because it rusted pretty bad. No rust thru but it was starting to pit. Soon it will be covered head to toe in rhino!

They are. They came off a 87-89 Celebrity and after a little trimming on the bezels, viola!

Aren't you the one selling the 82 2wd grey in color? I'm looking for a 2wd resto project for when my son grows up (8-10 years). Wish you were closer so I could come by and check it out. I cant seem to find one here local and I was thinking of getting a 4x (plentyful here) and swapping in a 2wd suspension and rear axle, not sure yet tho'..

I am selling a '81 2wd Blazer that is in primer. I haven't gotten much feed back so I might sell my '82 that is a driver instead and sit on the '81.
The swap from 4x4 to 2wd has been covered pretty good on this board but you may have to dig a little to find the info.
How about a close up of the headlight to see what was involved with the trimming?

Re: Show us what you got!!

Here's my 75. Mine used to look alot like Cmoe's. Just a little more rust. Specs are:
350
465/205 (factory)
D44/12bolt axles (3.73's)
35x12.50 15" dunlop mud rover tires on steelies
4" Rough country springs up front, Echobit Shackle flip on the rear

Custom touches are the Late model Serpentine setup on the engine and 2002 Silverado Buckets on the inside.

Need to complete the cage and install the factory tach cluster I got for it. Among all the other little things....Just a fun trail rig!
