Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Yes it was
We met in Tennessee a couple months ago
In Lebanon, TN
It was the first truck I walked up on at
The southeast truck nationals
Didn’t even know it was his
Went on with the weekend, and at some point JQ messaged me thinking he saw me at the show. So when I went out to see them at the swap meet area, uncle and I met for the first time.
Gave him a hat as we bs’d when they were all packing up , told him I would like to buy the truck if he ever was to sell it. And the rest is history.
Uncle was nice enough to let it come
Back to where it was born

I like all the original paperwork.

Did this cab originally have a pass through?

Only below the center part of the rear window
Which got sectioned in by someone
It was not cut through the top above the window, thankfully

We pulled the extra spring a riser block
That was put in for the motor home
In the rear
Lowered the back end about 3”

Hmm. Good question. The rear drop is very noticeable. I do think 1-1.5” or so off the front would match nicely.

Any other plans, or keep it like it is?

I’m all over the place on the Uncle truck
For some reason I get excited about c30’s flatbeds
Probably because I’ve hade a bunch over the years in the company
I’ve had a c30 super Longhorn before
But
This is the first Super I’ve ever had in flatbed configuration
My inclination now is just to buff it and drive it
The bed is not the best
I’m now, trying to knock out the side boards
If I ever paint it
I’ll put a new bed on it

This is another 157 wheelbase truck we used for the company, years ago
I loved the stance on it
That is what I lowered uncle in the rear

I’m pretty sure he said he has another bronze one just like it with a 4spd that he likes better. Just needs to get his welder friend to get it finish it up from the last wreck ?

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Thanks CG
That might be the way to go
I just got off the phone, with
“Uncle’s” Uncle
We were laughing about how the truck
Kinda looked,
Like a rooster, missing his tail feathers

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I always liked the look of a bobbed 157" flatbed. You'd see that on trucks that towed a machine regularly
