55-59 throttle pedal, need advice

Hi All,

I want to purchase a throttle pedal for my 56 this month but need some advice. I have 2 in mind but don't know which one would work best and fit correctly. The truck is registered as a 56 but I think the cab is a 58, don't know if that helps. I'm essentially running a standard carb set up. Below are the 2 links of the pedals I have in mind, any advice would be great and if you installed one of these a picture would be perfect.

Thanks,
Sam

If you are buying them for the bling ignore this. If you want function find a mid 70's pickup set up. Mounts on the firewall and has pull cable like the ones you are looking at. I sold both out of my 74 donor trucks to hot rodders for $15 pedel to carb.

Re: 55-59 throttle pedal, need advice

It sounds like the floor mount is the most popular choice, OrrieG, I'm not just going for bling but ease of installation plus my brake pedal already has the same type of look at these 2 types I listed. But I do like your idea I just couldn't figure out how to mount it with all the humps on the firewall.

Does anyone have any pics of their floor mounts installed?
