Roof rack suggestions?
I'm interested in adding a roof rack to my 2019 Suburban using the existing accessory GM roof rails. Looking for examples that folks have been happy with. The ARB alloy rack for my 4runner is solid but there's no ARB equivalent for this model Suburban.

Re: Roof rack suggestions?
I have no personal experience with Yakima or Thule. I was in a REI today looking at the Thule racks and cargo boxes. Pretty salty, not in my budget their stuff looks solid though. I ended up buying a pair of wool socks and a Silky saw.
I guess I’m not sure if that’s the kind of roof rack you’re looking for. Sorry not helpful. |

Re: Roof rack suggestions?
That's helpful, thank you. I've got the Tule and Yakima products on my radar - at least some models seem to affix with factory roof rails. Don't need anything too stout - something to lash a sled on would suffice.

Re: Roof rack suggestions?
Pete I can't help with the roof rack, but how are you liking the new Suburban?

Re: Roof rack suggestions?
Larry I’m loving it so far. Less interior cargo space than the 99 but a better drive. The lack of a tenth place on the odometer and no gauge warning light for engaged 4wd are my biggest gripes - all in all not bad. I swapped the z71 rubber mats for fitted Weathertech examples and I’m really glad I did as I’ve been tracking a lot of snow inside.

Re: Roof rack suggestions?
Adapting well thanks. Enjoying it up here a lot. I’ve experienced locally record levels cold and snow so getting a good dose of winter.

Re: Roof rack suggestions?
I hope you have a beater to drive on the chemical covered roads. It would be a shame to put that new Suburban on that salt.
