hey guys newbie here couple of questions

Just bought me a 1972 chevy c10 long bed.Going through it I have a nice project ahead.first It has a leaf spring rear.I thought these came with coil rear.next,I cant get the passenger door open.the lock button goes up and both inner and otter handles work but it doesnt disengage the door.How can I get this open.Thanks.I'm sure I'll be asking many more

Welcome. Coils standard, leafs optional for 1/2 ton. Should be called out on your SPID as well to highlight it was ordered. If nothing will open door, might need to remove door panel and get your hand up there. Up there means find out where rods are disconnected, which end, etc. If can't do that without removing the seat with the door stuck shut, well, there you go, might have to do that too. If all wiggling and jiggling has failed, clearly some rods are disconnected inside the door. Hopefully prev owner wasn't a dukes of hazard fan (and welded it shut)

got the door panel off enough to get my hand in there.Looks like everything is working correctly.I could only assume that the geared wheel isnt spinning.The lock works the hook that catches that cogged wheel moves out. just wont spin.I loaded it with WD lets see how that goes.
