Ok...the choke cable pulls in and pushes out just fine if it’s not connected to the carb choke lever. Carb choke lever flips up and down just fine if it’s not connected to the choke cable. Once the cable is connected to the lever, pulling the choke knob out is quite difficult. I’ve attached a pic of the current set-up. He’p me!!! Somebody he’p me!!!!! (With apologies to GEICO and Little Richard)

i no nothing....but i'm curious if the angle of the choke lever and the angle of the wire (choke wire) is causing that. i have the same set up and and choking it (haha) is a little tough as well as pushing in the knob after its running....

wondering if for you and i, if we had the cable more "under" the choke lever if it would slide better......

Does that carburetor have a fast idle cam on the throttle that's linked to the choke? If so, try pushing down on the gas pedal just a little and that should make it easier to pull / push the choke knob.

The clamp is too tight.
