68 Buick

1968 Buick Electra 225. My second one. It is about 10% flat black right now. The PS pump pours liquid onto the asphalt, and the driver door doesnt open anymore, but other than that it is a really fun ride. It is my backup daily driver.

This is the proposed final product.

More pics to come, but progress has hit a standstill until the truck is road ready again.

Oh yeah, and I traded a shotgun for it and drove it home.

That is cool, I picked up a 72 skylark for my wife. Its a 60 thousand mile granny fresh that sat in a field for ten years while the new owner decided what to do with it. I picked it up for free just to haul it off. Friggin thing runs like a top! Turning into a GS for her. Love those Buicks!

Re: 68 Buick

Cool. Decades ago my mom had a '67 2 door for a few years until someone ran a stop sign and plowed into the side of it. My grandparents had a '68 4dr. Limited hardtop with the nicer door panels/ arm rests, cornering lights, etc. Just about every option except rear defrost. Grandpa retired it and it sat for about 2 years then when I was 17 he gave it to me. Anything I couldn't beat in a race around town I usually took on the highway

Re: 68 Buick

Sure would like to get my mitts on a '67 LeSabre 4dr ht but, I'm really liking your Electra and those wide whitewalls look good on the black one.

Re: 68 Buick

Makes me want to buy it leave the rest of the paint alone and clear it. Then steal all the 4 speed parts from an impala and drive the wheels off.
