454 Aftermarket Intake Manifold Questions

I picked up a new old stock polished intake manifold for my 454. It is a Preformance Products. I know some guys don't like them, but the runners look clean, no slag or casting imperfections like some complain about. My question is about the water ports. This intake has 4, one one each corner. For a strictly street truck for fun, can I plug these? I plan on running a T stat. The 1986 cast iron intake I pulled off did not have any outside water ports. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can use a nice plug in each corner for street driving.
Those ports are there for motors that are run hard ( like marine or racing where you need additional cooling.)
