68 rebuilt 327 WIW
I have a rebuilt to stock specs 327 from my 68 C20 that I'm thinking of putting up for sale. It has 4 barrel QJ, T400 that is as is, ran when removed. Oil bath air cleaner. All accessories attached including ac, ps, alt. Set of hooker painted headers ran for about 6 months. I replaced all with 5.3/4l60e. Will post pics today. Would like to know what entire setup is worth. Do not want to part. Thanks.

Here's pics. Engine was running good when pulled to put 5.3 in truck. Had about 2500 miles on rebuild, but I'll have to check my book to verify.It did leak from valve covers a little, and tranny had slight leak from pump o-ring seal. I replaced all other seals but this one.
        Any questions,just ask. Looking for a value if I decide to sell. Thanks. |

It has some other parts for the engine, such as original distributor, HEI distributor from Summit, new wires, cap w/ coil, I believe I have the original manifolds too, but they were in bad shape.

I'd say about $800 with receipts.It's best to sell installed and running.A buyer needs to varify the motor is fresh.The transmissions aren't worth enough to add to the price.Pulled motors bought from individuals just don't bring what they are worth to the seller.At least not from a savvy buyer.But,someone who knows what they want and know what that motor is would jump on it.is it an 010 block?That's the last digits in the casting number.It would be the large journal 250 hp from a truck,but the same block used for '68 SS350 Camaros and Z28 302s.

Stamped suffix code on the passenger side front of the block is important as well to someone looking for a correct motor. Nice setup with complete brackets, pulleys, etc. Sharpie
