First post, can anyone tell me information on 69-70 c30's

How's it going, glad to be here. I found what I believe is a 1969 or 1970 C-30 truck at an old wrecking yard. If I can figure out how to post a pic from my phone I'll post one up it seems to be a nice truck with a yellow and blue dual colour paint job, not sure if its a factory paint or not. Any information on 1969 and 1970 C30 trucks would be very helpful. My reasoning for thinking it's a C30 is it has a set of west coast style mirrors and cab lights.

Welcome!

Pop open the glove box door. On the inside of the door should be a sticker with model of truck and all options.

Welcome to the forum.....another Ontario-ite!...lol.
As for the truck....you could order those options onto a 3/4 ton (C30) is necessary...maybe a 1/2 ton (C10).
What makes you think its a C30?...dual wheels? or?
If you are lucky..and its a C30...its maybe a 'Long Horn' C30 (extra long fleetside)....which are a little more unique and valuable than a standard C30 truck and were designed to carry/haul oversize campers.
You can also open the drivers side door and check the VIN tag in there which should reveal what it is....simply by the GVW ratings alone, but also by the VIN number.
Regardless....post up a few pics when you can and maybe we can help you out.

I don't have access to the vehicle at the moment as the yard is still closed for about another month, everything in there is for sale but im not sure a price. I believe it does not have a box or anything so I'd probably be fabbing one up for it so I can use it.

Yellow and blue as colors strikes me that it was probably a company truck. No bed could mean that it started life as a cab & chassis that got taken to a specialty shop for the installation of a service body or a camper body. I've seen C10 all the way to C40 as cab & chassis. If you want to use it as a pickup you might just look for a bed at the yard where this truck is. It would save a lot of effort.

I assumed it was a C30 based off of the cab lights and mirrors. Any idea if its a 1969 or a 1970, I'm not sure the difference.

Hi and welcome from Western Canada.. I se you tried to download apiece but it didn't work. With picture, even one form over the fence we can probably tell you quite bit about the truck. The good thing is if you buy it and want the original info on it you can get it from General Motors as they kept records of all the trucks built at the Oshawa Plant.

Short of a pic, we can't tell. Once you get into the yard, get a pic of the SPID on the glove box door. It contains a wealth of information about that truck...if it is from the original truck.

Judging from the grill it's a 70. That's all we can see so we can't tell you anymore until we can see more.

Didn't all of the C30 trucks come with rear leaf springs only where as you could get either leaf or coil on a c20?
