1967 Dana 60 Value?

I recently bought a 67 GMC (Super?) Custom 3/4 ton that has a dana 60 posi in the rear..and a 351E V6 up front, what a monster! Anyways I was hoping someone had an idea of what this rear end is worth, I bought the truck to put the buckets in my 68 and didn't know about the rear end until I got it home.

What gears does it have? The 3.54, 3.73, 4.11 are one carrier size. If you go the other directions the carriers may be a different size therefore more worth while due to be a little more or less a oddity.

The gearing listed above covers most 90 percent of the stock gearing from the factory as a generality.

My dad and I haven't taken the cover off to check or tried counting the rotations and figuring it out that way. There is no external tag on this year is there?

I sold a rear Dana 60 off a 72 3.54 gears and posi 8 bolt for $400. It took a while but a local forum member bought it.

There still could be a small tag under one of the cover bolts

Yeah, they came with an ID tag on a bolt. It won't be a 3.73 tear if it's got original gears. You need to know what you have to know what it's worth.

I was able to get the tag cleaned off, the rear end has 4.56 gears in it - good for climbing a tree paired with the 351E engine the truck has but is there any value in it?
