The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

Tip & Flip cab dolly

Build your own Tip & Flip cab dolly at home to make all your truck projects easier. I am providing very detailed set of plans pictures that will walk you thru all the needed steps to complete this project. This dolly allows your truck cab to be bolted to a sturdy frame that will hold it in its factory form and not allow it to flex or twist while you work on it. It also allows your cab to be tilted 90* in any of four positions making it easy to reach some of those hard areas. Some of the benefits that this Dolly will make easier for you are as follows.

Allows the cab to be held in a rigid easy to work on position for replacing rockers, cab corner and any rusted areas.
One person can now move the cab around your garage or work area with ease and help avoid getting any further damage from trying to move it your self when there is no one around to help.
It gives a way to store your cab while you are working on the frame or other parts.
This will also make doing body work, custom modifications, paint, sanding and polishing much easier since you can now position it to suit your needs.
The dolly can also be set at two different heights when in the standard position that puts the bottom of your rocker panels at 12” or 24”. (This may very depending on your wheel selection)
It has a built in shelve for parts or tool storage when in the standard position freeing up other valuable garage space. (So were do you keep all that chrome trim so it won’t get damaged?)

Other options that will be available for your dolly are listed below.
Plans to convert the dolly into an engine and transmission stand that could also be used to test fire that motor before installation.
Plans for mounting your truck bed that will allow it to be tilted on either side for repairs, painting or just storage.
Other plans that will allow your engine and transmission combination to be stored on the dolly with two shelves above it each for storage of a complete truck door and then ether the truck bed above it all or a 5’4” by 5’4” work table. Imagine having all that extra room while working on your project.

The plans will come with a full list of all material and hardware that you will need to buy for the construction of the Tip & Flip dolly. Also included is a full material cut list showing the size, length and type of end cut needed for each piece. Detailed photos or CAD drawings will walk you thru each step along with complete directions.

Currently plans for the 67-72 Chevy truck are available. Other models will be available for the 47-54 cab, 55-59 and 60-66 cabs to follow soon after.

Complete plans are $28.95 and this includes tax and shipping in the USA And Canada.

Re: The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

Well it took about 80 hours of combined labor for the design and documention of this. Then most of this weekend putting the finishing touches on the 67-72 package and it is now ready to go to the printer on Monday for a one day turn around. I will be printing up all the lables from the current paypal buyers and should have them in the mail on tuesday. As soon as this is finished I will be starting on the 60-66 plans.

Thanks again,
Kevin

Re: The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

Just found this thread. What is the price now since I missed the deadline for the great deal you had going? I wish I would have seen it sooner. I would love to have the other plans mentioned.

Thumbs up Re: The new (and only) Tip & Flip cab dolly post!

Got my plans in the mail yesterday. Couldn't be happier. Plans aren't some crude drawing, but complete parts list, pictures, good instructions.
