Well thats the thing , 63 had no flange on the diff to retain the backing plate. You would have to weld one on or change diff for a 65 or newer.
I think the parts from a pickup application would swap easily.

12 bolt 1965 and up. They came with the flange that will upgrade to rear disk. See captainfab for adapters in the parts forum. Heck of a nice guy .

If you are wanting to convert the rear to disc brakes you will need a '64 and up truck 12 bolt. I make 5 different rear disc conversion brackets. Three for the 5 x 5" and two for the 6 x 5.5" wheel stud pattern.

There are several threads here all about converting the front to disc brakes. Which is best for you depends on whether you are wanting stock height spindles or dropped spindles. There is no sense in buying a donor truck if you are wanting dropped spindles and springs or air bags.
