i made a set once out of treated wood and i made another set out of poplar... both lasted although i was able to finish the ones made of poplar easier... youlll need a router and a scroll saw if ya wanna make em fancy..... I actually engraved my company name into it and used them for my signs... ive seen couples do the "bob loves susan " thing too on em.... they look cool
