Tranny Question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hi all, how can I figure out what kind of transmission I have??, I'm not sure if it's stock or not!! My truck is an 86 GMC 1500 Wrangler with the stock 305. Can someone please help me??

If it's an auto, it'll be a THM-350, 400, or 700R4. If it's an overdrive, it's the 700R4. If not, look at the transmission pan and compare it to the ones here:

If it's a manual, that's a whole other can o' worms.

i took my truck inside at work and got underneath it and it has a turbo350
